ABOUT

Peter Mosebo has been a Director in the Litigation Department since October 2015. He was admitted as an attorney on 14 January 1997 and became a Director and Co-founder of Maserumule Inc. Attorneys on 1 March 1998. He specialises in all aspects of employment law, including but not limited to training, investigations of allegations of misconduct, appearances in the Labour Court and Labour Appeal Court, arbitration’s (private, CCMA and Bargaining Councils), internal disciplinary hearings, grievances and appeals. Peter also acts either as the initiator or presiding officer in internal hearings.

With experience in all aspects of employment law, Peter exclusively serves corporate clients. He drafts solid contracts of employment for senior managers and bringing his litigation experience in these contracts.  He drafts collective agreements between employers and trade unions paying special attention on the issues that have raised legal disputes between the employers and the unions. Peter provides opinions and advice and litigates in respect of all labour and employment-related matters. He presides or initiates in internal hearings, appeal hearings and grievance hearings, and also conducts investigations and/or hearings relating to breaches of procurement processes, claims of sexual harassment, bullying or general harassment in the workplace.

Peter is a seasoned mining labour lawyer and has more than 20 years’ experience in handling labour disputes in the mining industry, including but not limited to restructuring, retrenchments, health and safety inquiries and advises relating to strikes and wage negotiations.
