Dewald van den Berg is a Director in the Business Crimes & Investigations; Construction & Engineering; and Dispute Resolution practice areas. He specialises in civil and commercial litigation (including urgent applications) and civil and commercial arbitration.   • Represented a JSE listed company's Zambia operations in successfully opposing proceedings for an injunction (interdict) in the Zambian High Court;
  • Defended a JSE listed company in unlawful competition proceedings and negotiated favourable settlement agreement;
  • Successfully concluded arbitration proceedings in terms of section 163 of the New Companies Act 71 of 2008 in favour of home owners and members of prestigious golf and country estate against the Developer;
  • Represented  Developer of prestigious housing development in Vaal Triangle against group of members and home owners;
  • Represented Canadian professional in successfully claiming payment for services rendered against the Department of Trade and Industry;
  • Representing JSE listed company in property related dispute pertaining to Local Government Ordinance and claim for compensation.
