Amanda Armstrong is a Consultant at Werksmans, advising in the; Competition; Media & Communications; and Technology practice areas. Her major clients include leading commercial broadcasters across Africa; electronic communications services and network providers; print media and online publishers (newspapers and magazines); new media players; and the Square Kilometre Array/National Research Foundation within the Department of Science and Technology. Amanda chaired the committee which drafted South Africa’s Independent Broadcasting Authority Act and the Independent Media Commission Act. She regularly represents clients before Parliamentary Portfolio Committees; ICASA; the competition authorities; and the High Court of South Africa.
