The Legal 500 has released its 2018 rankings for the EMEA region. Regarded as one of the world’s largest and most reputable legal referral guides, The Legal 500 is an independent directory which assesses the strengths of law firms in over 100 jurisdictions and continues to grow each year with new practice areas and additional countries, with this year’s edition including first-time research-based coverage of Botswana, Senegal and Uganda. Firms and individuals are recommended purely on merit.
Werksmans has been ranked in tier 1 for its excellence in Dispute Resolution. We have also been ranked in the following 11 practice areas for our work in the areas of: Banking & Finance; Commercial, Corporate & M&A; Competition; Construction; Employment; Intellectual Property; Investment Funds; Mining; Projects & Infrastructure; Real Estate; and Tax.
We have four lawyers (up from three in the 2017 edition) who are proudly included in the elite list of “Leading lawyers”.
In addition to the above rankings, we have a new ranking for the firm in the “Next generation lawyers” list. Hilah Laskov has been ranked in this category for Investment Funds.
