Aug 22,2017 / News / Cape Town Seminar

The environmental impacts, and associated risks and liabilities, arising from contaminated land present one of the most complex scientific and legal challenges of our time and this is reflected in the rapid evolution of South Africa’s waste management laws.

This seminar, presented in collaboration with guest speakers that specialise in land remediation, aims to demystify the legal obligations arising from the Contaminated Land provisions in the National Environmental Management: Waste Act, 2008 and assist in quantifying and limiting the risks and exposure arising as a result of contaminated land.

Land owners, environmental professionals and others dealing with contaminated land management, including investors and financiers are invited to join us for an informative session presented by specialists in the fields of environmental law and environmental science.
