Despite data indicating an upward trend, the construction industry remains under scrutiny and in the headlines for all the wrong reasons – most notably the finalisation of the Competition Commission enquiries in 2013 as well as significant delays at Eskom’s power plant projects. These have highlighted the importance of the industry for South Africa’s development and the challenges of the environment in which it operates.
Join us for a seminar which will provide insight into the salient regulatory changes within South Africa’s construction industry over the past 12 months with specific focus on:

  • the new Joint Building Contracts Committee (JBCC) Principal Building Agreement, highlighting differences between Edition 5 and Edition 6.1; and
  • the new Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) regulations and how they could impact on the construction and engineering sectors.
